BIO
Marwan has a diverse career in media and telecoms. He currently leads the EMEA sales and business development activities for the Qwilt Open Edge Cloud – a platform that enables a new content and application delivery layer at the edge of service provider networks. Qwilt aims to help Service Providers enable Open Caching in their networks and leverage Edge Computing as a fundamental component of their architecture.
Early in his career Marwan was a member of the start-up engineering team of Orbit in Rome. The team built what was the world’s first fully digital Satellite Pay TV platform (now OSN). He subsequently moved into commercial roles.
Marwan then spent ten years working in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, and Consulting roles with technology enablers – Irdeto and NDS, based in Amsterdam and London serving the Pay TV industry.
This experience was identified by the Telecom Investment firm EIT – a member of Dubai Holding, with an active management model. Marwan spent six years with EIT helping manage TV assets and projects within its portfolio companies.

Statement of intention for being a partner at OTT Red
My mission is to collaborate with like-minded professionals in the OTT sector, to challenge the conventional methods of delivering OTT services by building better alignment between the OTT services that leverage service provider networks and create value from these applications for operators.
